UNPLUG THE SALEM New Jersey  NUKES !!!
To: The President of PSE&G, The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, The NJ Department Of Environmental
Protection & Our Senators and Congressmen
We, the undersigned citizens, demand that the two Salem Nuclear Plants be immediately decommissioned,
in a "just transition period", to ensure that all affected workers are retrained and rehired. We have deep concerns
about the safety of the two plants, including the leaking of radioactive tritium from the spent fuel pools, defective
steam generators, terrorist attacks, fire safety, low employee morale, and radioactive water spills. As well we are
concerned about the BILLIONS of fish and other marine life slaughtered every year by the plants. We are deeply
concerned about long term regional health effects from continued doses of low-level radiation. We urge PSE&G
and our government to invest in renewable forms of energy, such as wind, solar, wave, hydro, fuel cells, and
others, so as to eliminate the threats to our environment from nuclear power and coal power plants.
